Culture, Craft & Community: A celebration of Yakima Valley community traditions

12:00 - 4:00 pm, join us for a free, fun celebration of Yakima Valley community traditions! "Culture, Craft, & Community" is a family-friendly event that will feature performances, demonstrations, exhibitors, local foods, and more. The event is presented by the Center for Washington Cultural Traditions, and hosted at the Yakima Valley Museum. The day's events include a performance by the Yakama Nation's Iksiks Washanal'a, "The Little Swans," traditional Filipino dance presented by the Filipino American Community of the Yakima Valley, a Quinceaņera fashion show by L.A. Styles of Toppenish, old time music by Gone Fiddling Again, tamales from Los Hernandez Tamales, and more! This celebration comes after months of research, interviews, and work with local community leaders and artists in support of traditional culture in the Yakima Valley.
